We are excited to have partnered with the Arts Touring Alliance of Alberta in presenting their OnStage event in Grande Prairie on March 25. A panel of 7 music industry members from around Western Canada attended to give mentorship and feedback to Grande Prairie area artists. The event was a great success. The panel was impressed across the board with the caliber of the artists who showcased. We hope to see some of them move on to secure spots at Alberta Showcase.
Artists who performed included Sandy Carifelle, Mikey Blue Shoes, Brenda Dirk, James Morrison Band, Mitchell Heinricks, Renee Golemba, and Band From the White House.
We at the Bear Creek Folk Fest are proud of the caliber and diversity of artists in our city. We hope to see this event continue on an annual basis so that this great musical community can continue to grow, and be opened to an increased range of opportunities.
